HÉLI SHOPP

HÉLI is a multifaceted artist of international stature recognized for her musical style. She is a singer, guitarist  and composer from Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
Her style merges Brazilian music with Gospel, Jazz, soul and funk.
Her very particular voice mixes the sweetnes and smothness of Bossa Nova with the power of American Black voices in addition to an impressive guitar swing.
She was recognized by the BBC in London as one of the new reference voices of Brazilian music in the world.

At 17 she recorded the first song “Elohim ” and was recognized in Rio for her published poems.
Music critic Jose Messias became her mentor and helped to forge her musical path.

She shared the stage with MPB artist like Jorge Vercilo, Emilinha Borba, Leny Andrade, Fatima Guedes, Joao Fera (parlamas do sucesso) among others.

Globo TV announced HÉLI as the revelation in the Caldeirao Do huck TV show.
Winner on the MTV Latina. Praised by Chico Buarque  for the performance of “O Barquinho”who authorized the recording of “Atras da Porta”

Her Brazil Deluxe album has received very good reviews from all over the world as well as her latest single “In your hands” available on all digital platforms.
